Scheme of Examinations and Promotion Rules

Examinations are integral to the educational process, providing continuous evaluation to help students improve. Our system aligns with NCERT and CBSE policies.
Programme of Evaluation
- Objective-based: Aims at specific study objectives.
- Comprehensive: Covers all learning objectives.
- Continuous: Ensures timely feedback.
- Dynamic: Integrated with teaching.
Continuous Evaluation (Classes I to V)
- Classes I and II: Three cycles of weekly tests.
- Classes III – V: Three cycles of weekly tests.
- Grading: Five-point scale. Minimum ‘C’ grade required for promotion.
Academic Assessment (Classes VI – IX)
- Two Terms: Term I and Term II.
- Scholastic Areas: Periodic Tests (10%), Subject Enrichment Activities (5%), Notebook Submission (5%), Term Exams (80 marks).
- Syllabus Coverage:
- Class VI: 10% Term I, entire Term II.
- Class VII: 20% Term I, entire Term II.
- Class VIII: 30% Term I, entire Term II.
- Class IX: Entire syllabus.
- Grading: Nine-point scale for subjects, five-point for co-scholastic activities and discipline.
Classes X, XI, and XII
- Two Terms: Includes Periodic Tests and Mock/Pre-Board exams.
- Board Exam Practice: Prepares students for CBSE Board patterns.
Eligibility
- Attendance: Minimum 75% required to appear in Annual Examination.
Promotion Criteria
- Requirements:
- 40% marks in each subject for promotion.
- Based on cumulative results.
- No double promotions.
- Authority: School’s decision is final.
Homework Assignments
- Activities: Worksheets, assignments, projects, discussions, debates, and presentations.
- Schedule: Balanced to prevent overburdening.
